LEELA 1989- 2006
Leela was born September 17, 1989. She was rescued during 1990 from an unhappy existence to live in comfort with Wendy.
Leela gave birth to a beautiful litter of 4 Yorkie puppies in June of 1991, and Acadia (the littlest pup of that litter) is still with Wendy and Jim today.
Always the "queen bee", Leela made sure her wishes and opinions were quite well known with a bit of a snort and a flick of her pony-tailed-head.
Lee passed on September 6, 2006 with her family close by. She was much loved, and will be sorely missed.
TASHMOO 1987- 2004
Wendy Scott, Jim Smith, Leela, Acadia, and Murphy of Bark Harbor are saddened at having said goodbye to their eldest dog, Tashmoo.
Shamrock's Island Wildwind "Tashmoo" was born June 8, 1987. He was a Yorkshire TGerrier who lived his 16+ years in the care of Wendy and Jim.
Tashmoo had a big dog personality in a little dog body, a feisty terrier through and through.
He lost his vision do to a vaccine reaction several years ago, but constantly amazed, entertained and enjoyed life to the fullest with the assistance of his seeing-eye-people.
Tashmoo was a brave and spirited dog, and he died peacefully at home surrounded by family in Sarasota Florida, Feb. 20, 2004.
He will be terribly missed.
